Senator Sarlo Secures Additional Funding For Memorial Park Improvements

I’m pleased to announce that in the finalization of this year’s state budget, Senator Paul Sarlo has secured an additional $1.2 million towards the completion of our Memorial Field Project.  

I’d like thank Senator Sarlo, on behalf of the residents of Rutherford, for his continued support of our community and recreational facilities. Over the last few years, the Senator has been an incredible advocate for the Borough of Rutherford and as a result we’ve received over $8 million for Memorial Field, in addition to these current funds. If you haven’t had the opportunity to go down to the field to see the incredible improvements that have already been made with this money, please do so. It has created a state of the art facility that now allows us to host tournaments on the brand new girls softball field as well as increased play time through newly turfed fields as well as other improvements.

Looking forward to the opening day celebration of the completion of the entirety of the complex, on which many generations are sure to enjoy.
